Tate and l’Oil…..

Posted by cathedralofshit on June 29, 2010

Last night’s annual Tate summer party went with a pffft, as protesters against Tate’s sponsorship meant the usual nibbles in the Garden were taken inside to keep away from the nasty noisy men and their chanting and banners.
A renegade incident with some oil (treacle/molasses? Can anyone verify? Did anyone taste it?) caused actually little fuss at all and team CoS didn’t manage to witness the event, choosing to ignore the kerfuffle and keep their noses firmly jammed into their glasses of wine.
Tales spread more quickly than the offending slick – it was two children what done it/a man in an overcoat threw it.

Treacle. And it got on my new canvas shoes. Fuckers: Tate, Green-types, oil companies, the lot of them.

I expect a similar level of fun was experienced in tonight’s PV of the Hannah Barry Car Park ‘It’s real art done by proper artists’ fest, full of Peckham’s finest dressed in tiny vintage tennis shorts and ripped Barbour jackets that they paid £90 for. But hey I’m just jealous.

Where’s Peckham? do Easy Jet fly there ? Nice to see Hannah championing the female artists by including just one woman this time. Bring on the 1950’s

Corporate power closes ranks, toasts tradition.

The Tate derives from ruthless globalist exploiters Tate & Lyle – they more than anyone appreciate the delicate balancing act of shitting on the rest of the world, in order to nurture ‘high’ culture at home. Patronage charity and largesse! these are the indulgences by which they pay for their sins elsewhere. I love the way we cling to these medievel customs.

I love the way corrupt ‘competition’, greed and neglect are forgiven or forgotten momentarily so that they can share a few scraps of the finer things in life. What is life again? Oh yeah, eyes down, wait for the tap on the shoulder…
